Personality & History
† We bought Special Spot from an auction in Westleep City along with three other broodmares: Sweet Melody, Majestic Wind and Sea Storm. She was a very attractive and young mare that seemed to have a intelligent quality to her. We were hoping to pass that on to her foals. Once breeding season came along we had hoped to breed her to our main stallion but that is when we found out she was already in foal. We did some intensive searching for who the sire might be and found out this story: At the farm where she was previously owned one of their young stallions with a spooking problem jumped a few fences and eventually ended up in Special Spot's enclosure. They must have mated and then the stallion, named Cheesy Louis, must have jumped a few other fences because they found him with his leg stuck in the wired fence that was surrounding their farm. He had to be put down. The owners of the farm had no idea he had even been in Special Spot's enclosure. A few months later a small gray colt was born. His name is Like A Cheetah. Two months after that, Special Spot died from an infection in her uterus. The death was a shock to us all and this mare will always hold a "special spot" in our hearts. She left behind a very special legacy in the shape of her only son: Like A Cheetah. |
